Android TV & Google TV
Big screen. Real remote.
Your playlist on the TV.
Install the same JAVP APK on Android TV or Google TV and it switches to a leanback layout: left rail, D-pad focus, fullscreen live with channel overlays, and shelves built for a remote — still an empty player until you add your M3U, Xtream, Jellyfin, Emby or Plex source.
On the set-top box
Remote-first, not a phone UI stretched.
Pairing stays on your LAN with a short-lived token — nothing goes through a JAVP server. Sideload from updater.javp.app the same way you would on a phone.
- Leanback UI — Home, Live, Catalog, Library, Search, My List and Settings on a left rail.
- Fullscreen live — channel list and info as overlays; CH± and number keys to zap.
- Add sources with your phone — the TV shows a QR code; you fill the form on the phone over LAN.
- EPG, catch-up and recordings from playlists you supply — JAVP does not sell channels.
- Same Universal or ARM64 APK as phones; no separate TV store build required.
FAQ
Quick answers.
Do I need a different APK for TV?
No. The phone/tablet APK detects Android TV and enables leanback. ARM64 or Universal covers most boxes.
Can I add an IPTV playlist from the remote?
You can type on the TV, or scan the QR with your phone and submit the form there — the source appears on the TV.
Does JAVP ship a channel list for Android TV?
No. You bring an M3U, Xtream Codes login, or a library you connect. There is no catalog in the box.
